Worship is at the center of everything we do at St. Mark's. Our common life is regulated by the rhythms of the church year with weekly celebrations of Holy Eucharist.
St. Mark's celebrates Rite II Holy Eucharist (Communion) each Saturday Evening at 5:30 pm, and each Sunday at 8:00 am (Rite I) and 10:00 am (Rite II with childcare available). The Rite I liturgy uses a more traditional language (view the order of service online) while Rite II uses contemporary language (view the order of service online). Learn more about our organ and choir on the Music at Worship page and listen to past sermons on the Sermons page.
Seasonal and festival liturgies, such as Evensong and Ash Wednesday, complete our calendar of worship.

Lay Participation in WorshipLay members of the parish actively serve as lectors and chalice bearers, acolytes, intercessors, ushers, greeters, and members of the altar guild. Visit our Parish Service page to learn more about volunteering. The music program includes a choir of volunteer members and professional section leaders and a chapter of the Royal School of Church Music training program for young choristers. The Music at Worship page contains information about our music ministry. |
Childcare During Services
While children are always welcome in worship services at St. Mark’s, trained sitters and parent volunteers provide childcare for infants through 1st graders during the 10 am Sunday service. A well-appointed nursery, an activity room and a new Children's Chapel are available for your children should you wish to use them. The nursery is located on the same level as the sanctuary, and the activity room for older children (those who no longer wear diapers) is located on the second floor of the education center. During church school, the nursery remains open for infants, toddlers, and two year olds. |
