"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" - Galatians 3:28
Our mission is to seek and serve Christ in all persons and our vision is to be an Episcopal parish that reflects the love of Jesus in worship, fellowship, outreach, and the daily lives of its parishioners. St. Mark's Episcopal Church is an intimate community with a passion to reach people outside our doors.

What to Expect at St. Mark's

PictureEaster Sunday 2018
Worship is at the center of everything we do at St. Mark's. Our common life is regulated by the rhythms of the church year with weekly celebrations of Holy Eucharist. We are a liturgical church (one that has a prescribed order of worship) based on the Book of Common Prayer. Each week, you will hear Scripture readings, a short sermon, prayers, and can participate in the Eucharist (sometimes called Communion or the Lord's Supper). The Eucharist is open to all Christians, whether or not you are a member of the Episcopal Church.

If you're not familiar with Episcopal worship, don't worry! The order of worship is printed in a bulletin and you can participate as you feel comfortable. The dress style varies; you will see congregants in suits and ties and others wearing jeans. Our services normally last one hour.

worship Services

  • Saturday at 5:30 PM: The Saturday service uses contemporary liturgy (Rite II) and hymns sung by the congregation
  • Sunday at 8:00 AM: The early Sunday Service is a contemplative one without music. It uses the traditional language of Rite I (think 'thees', 'thys', and 'thous' instead 'yours')
  • Sunday at 10:00 AM: This is the principal service, using contemporary liturgy (Rite II), a full choir, and is the only service where childcare is offered.
You can learn more about our choir, worship music, and childcare on the Worship page of this site. You can also listen to past sermons on the Sermons page.

Getting Involved at St. Mark's

After the 10 AM service on Sundays, we have coffee hour in the parish hall to get to know us better. If so inclined, you and your family members can attend age-appropriate Christian education following coffee hour.  You can learn more by visiting the Christian Education page.

The Clergy & Staff page contains information about our staff and the News and Events page contains weekly announcements and a calendar of events. If you would like to learn about baptism or membership, please visit the Initiation page.
