Liturgy of the Word

Picture

Welcome

The Apostle Paul reminds us that "there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:28).  Our mission, 'to seek and serve Christ in all persons', embodies Christ's radical embrace of all persons. Whether you are exploring faith, a Christian from another tradition, or a 'cradle Episcopalian', we believe you will find something worthwhile at St. Mark's.

Announcements

  • Our Fish Fry is here! Come enjoy a fried cod or smoked salmon dinner and help support St. Mark’s. If you want to be a part of the Fish Fry Team contact Mimi Arnspiger. There are plenty of ways to support the event!
  • Here's a way to be a part of the Fish Fry Team: If you can’t make it to the Fish Fry, you can help out by being a baker. We sell 150 desserts each week, so many choices are needed. Cakes and pies are the bestsellers; we have recipes available. Please contact Annie Ronald.
  • Want a easy way to support St. Mark’s? Sign up for the Community Rewards program with Kroger. Kroger will donate a percent of your spending to St. Mark’s. There is no cost to you and it’s easy to do-sign into your Kroger account, go to Community Rewards, find St. Mark’s  #QL255. Instructions will guide you through the process.

Outreach needs

  • St. John's Center Raisin' the Rent Fundraiser: March 4, 2023 at the Mellwood Arts Center 6:30-10:00pm St. Mark's has been a major contributor to this event for the past two years. This year St. Markers can support St. John's Center's annual fundraiser in two ways by purchasing tickets and raffle chances at www.raisintherent.com, or by contributing to St. Mark's Raisin' the Rent Fund in any amount. Make checks payable to St. Mark's with SJC in the memo line and all contributions up to $4,000 will be matched!
  • UCHM always needs items for their Food Pantry, especially the following: peanut butter; canned vegetables; low sugar cereal; dry pasta; canned stews or soups; shelf stable milk; canned fruit; canned meat; pasta sauce; just add water pancake and baking mixes.
  • St. John's Men Center asks for new socks and underwear. Donations can be place in the basket in the Information Center.
